Foot in mouth time again!
No more whinging - we will stick to what we do best - loving books and book lovers...
I have two things I want to blog about today. One is the state of my barnet. A few weeks ago I asked people to suggest a book I could recommend to my barbour. There were very few responses and now I really need a haircut. (My fringe which is supposed to flip up in a sort of jaunty, jell-held sort of way now looks like a really bad combover it is so long) Any ideas for a book for my barbour?
The other thing deserves a separate post...
If its for your ex-rocker barber how about 'Not Fade Away' by Jim Dodge? - a rock 'n' roll road novel featuring a white cadillac once intended as a love token for the Big Bopper, an insurance scam, hitchikers, tow truck drivers and a large quantity of amphetamines.
If it for the customers I was going to reccomend 'The Voice Imitator' by Thomas Bernhard -- very short (and brilliant) short stories, though not necessarily a book to be read around sharp objects.
More to the point can you reccomend your barber?
